The Port United Soccer Boosters hosted the 2025 banquet for both the boys’ and girls’ teams. The event was held at the Port Allegany VMI with Jeremy Morey of the Gator Network as Master of Ceremonies. Following dinner, recognition of the Scholar Athletes began the night of honors and were presented by head coaches Matt Lawton and Aaron Clark. Recognition and Awards for the Girls Varsity was done by Coach Lawton and Assistant Coach Alex Strauss. “Fun Awards were presented to Lily Madison who received the Iron Cleat Award. Julie Smith and Hannah Taylor shared the “Hannah Please Don’t Get Hurt or Sick Next Season Award”. (Hannah was the goalie and Julie was the backup.) The Most Improved Player Award went to Kylee Pelchy; Team Player to Alayna Palmer; Defensive MVP went to Kendra Meade; Offensive MVP, scoring 21 of the team’s 46 goals went to Ellie Yeager who was also awarded the Team MVP which was voted on by the members of the team. Senior girls were recognized and presented gifts. They were Ellie Yeager, Lily Madison and Willow Sauers. Coach Clark and Assistant Coach Dr. Dan Schott presented the Offensive MVP to Alex Schott; Defensive MVP went to Aidan Clark; Most Improved Player went to Michal Emerick, the Team Award wet to Skyler Pelchy and the Team MVP went to Austin Hamilton. Senior boys were recognized and presented gifts. There were Aidan Clark, Jacob Causer, Justin Dunn, Austin Hamilton, Skyler Pelchy, Derek Smith and Eli Voss.
