GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is usually a place to play football but on Tuesday, a soccer team from Brazil came to train there.
Flamengo from Rio De Janeiro is one of Brazil’s most popular teams, and they trained on Steve Spurrier Field.
The team has been in Gainesville since Saturday, and Tuesday’s practice at The Swamp was open to fans.

Gator football’s DJ Lagway and Jeremy Crawshaw showed up to join the team’s practice for a jersey-helmet exchange and some catch.
Flamengo will play their rivals in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, and be back in Florida this summer for the FIFA Club World Cup.
