The Norwich Bulletin is proud to present our 2024 Girls Soccer All Star Team.
This year’s team is led by Plainfield senior Keriana Heredia, our Girls Soccer Player of the Year.
The players were selected from the following schools: Norwich Free Academy, Griswold, Killingly, Norwich Tech, and Ellis Tech. They were chosen with input from their coaches and from our daily top performers lists during the season.
The Panthers senior midfielder capped her outstanding career by scoring 24 goals and dishing out four assists to help Plainfield qualify for the Class M state tournament. She was selected First Team All-ECC.
Heredia became the school’s all-time leading goal scorer this season, breaking the girls soccer record held by Shannon Sweeney. Sweeney, who graduated in 2017, scored 62 goals before embarking on a collegiate career at Wesleyan University.
A four-year starter, Heredia finished with a school record 69 goals.
Killingly/Tourtellotte senior forward scored four goals and dished out three assists.
The Wildcats senior goalkeeper and captain was selected Honorable Mention All-ECC. Boenig, whose season was cut short due to injury, helped NFA qualify for the Class LL state tournament.
The Panthers junior defender scored two goals and dished out four assists. Brix was selected First Team All-ECC and helped Plainfield qualify for the Class M state tournament.

The Wildcats senior center back is a four year varsity player who was selected First Team All-ECC.
A tough, fast defender who solidified the defense, Burchman chipped in two goals this season while helping NFA qualify for the Class LL state tournament.
Killingly/Tourtellotte freshman midfielder was selected First Team All-ECC.
The Golden Eagles junior midfielder was the team’s top scorer with seven goals and was selected First Team All-CTC.
Killingly/Tourtellotte senior defender was selected Honorable Mention All-ECC.
The Wolverines sophomore forward had four assists and was selected First Team All-ECC.
The Warriors sophomore forward scored 13 goals and dished out four assists. Gibbons was selected First Team All-CTC. She helped Norwich Tech reach the CTC tournament finals and qualify for the Class M state tournament.
The Wildcats junior midfielder scored six goals and had eight assists to lead the team in overall points. Gisleson, who controlled midfield and acted as a quarterback on the field, helped NFA qualify for the Class LL state tournament.
The Wildcats senior center back is a four-year varsity player who was selected Honorable Mention All-ECC. A strong, physical player who helped solidify the defense, Iozzia helped NFA qualify for the Class LL state tournament.
The Warriors senior defender and captain solidified a defense that posted nine shutouts. Lambert was selected Honorable Mention All-CTC. She helped Norwich Tech reach the CTC tournament finals and qualify for the Class M state tournament. X

The Panthers senior midfielder scored four goals and dished out two assists. Pearson was selected First Team All-ECC and helped Plainfield qualify for the Class M state tournament.
The Panthers junior midfielder scored four goals and dished out four assists. Perez helped Plainfield qualify for the Class M state tournament.
The Panthers senior midfielder scored seven goals and dished out five assists. Popiel helped Plainfield qualify for the Class M state tournament.
The Warriors senior midfielder/forward and captain scored 11 goals and dished out five assists. Savaria was selected Honorable Mention All-CTC. She helped Norwich Tech reach the CTC tournament finals and qualify for the Class M state tournament.

The Warriors sophomore midfielder scored 16 goals and dished out eight assists. Stimson was selected First Team All-CTC. She helped Norwich Tech reach the CTC tournament finals and qualify for the Class M state tournament.
The Wolverines junior forward and captain scored nine goals, including a hat trick in a 3-2 win over Killingly. Wooten was selected Honorable Mention All-ECC.
The Wildcats senior striker is a four-year varsity player who scored six goals with five assists. Young was NFA’;s biggest offensive threat and a versatile player who covered various positions for injured players, including two games at goalkeeper. She helped NFA qualify for the Class LL state tournament.
