His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II examined the preparations of the Jordan national football team for their crucial upcoming match against Tajikistan, scheduled for next Thursday evening in Amman, as part of the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.
Crown Prince ِAl-Hussein, accompanied by HRH Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II, participated on Sunday in a portion of the team’s preparations for the match at the Amman International Stadium.
The national team continues its preparations to face Tajikistan at 8:30 pm on Thursday at the Amman International Stadium, as part of the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.
The team conducted their training on Saturday evening at the venue under the guidance of coach Hussein Amotta, amidst media coverage, with all players participating except for Abdullah Al-Attar due to a hamstring injury, awaiting completion of the lineup with the inclusion of Nizar Al-Rashdan.
The “Nashama” squad comprises 26 players: Yazid Abu Layla, Noor Bani Attiya, Ahmed Al-Jaidee, Abdullah Nasib, Baraa Marai, Yazan Al-Arab, Saad Al-Rousan, Ihsan Haddad, Firas Shalabiya, Mohammed Abu Hashish, Salem Al-Ajaline, Rajai Ayyad, Mahmoud Shoukat, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, Ibrahim Saadah, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Mohannad Abu Taha, Mahmoud Mardi, Moussa Al-Tamari, Mohammed Abu Rizk, Aref Al-Hajj, Saleh Ratib, Yousef Abu Jalboush, Ali Alwan, Abdullah Al-Attar, Yazan Al-Nuaimat.
Jordan currently sits in second place in its group with seven points, while Saudi Arabia leads the standings with 10 points, followed by Tajikistan in third with 5 points, and then Pakistan in fourth place with no points.
According to the qualification system, the top two teams from each group advance to the third round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, ensuring their qualification for the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
