Penn's Anika Guenther is girls soccer Northern Indiana Conference MVP – South Bend Tribune

Penn High School senior Anika Guenther has been named the girls soccer most valuable player for the Northern Indiana Conference in the 2024 season.
Guenther leads a 11-man first-team squad that features all seniors, with the exception of Adams junior midfielder Jocelyn Jones.

Adams coach Ryan Yazel and Marian’s Henry Vu are the NIC’s co-coaches of the year.
Guenther is joined on the NIC first team by Kingsmen teammates goalkeeper Gwen Eiler and midfielder Megan Zhang.
Marian and Saint Joseph also featured three first-team selections each. For the Knights, forwards Daisy Moody and Quinn Pankiewicz, along with midfielder JoJo Murphy were honors. For the Huskies, forward Lauren Frick, goalkeeper Shea Anderson and defender Paige Goben were honored.
Completing the first-team honors is Elkhart goalkeeper Evelyn Flores.
