“This is an easy way to support the team through items you already purchase for your home, and it will be delivered right to your door,” said Lesa Hough. “We are hoping to continue this program in the future.”
The initiative, which runs through Jan. 22 with deliveries scheduled for Jan. 25-26, marks a new chapter for the two-year-old booster club. Founded by Hough and fellow parent Keri Hone, the organization formalized what had previously been an informal network of parent volunteers supporting players and coaches.
Building on past fundraising efforts that included merchandise sales and local business partnerships, the booster club has already made its mark by funding senior banners, celebrations, player apparel and team bonding events. The timing coincides with growing momentum for both programs under coach Anthony DiCicco. While the boys team prepares for a promising 2025 season, the girls team enters the new year celebrating their recent region championship.
“The athletes, coaches and parents are thankful for any donation amount,” said Gina Johnson, who has a freshman and junior on the boys team and is helping coordinate the fundraiser. “Donating to youth sports is a great way to promote healthy living in our community.”

I’ve lived in Park City for 30 years but right off the starting line, my journalism professors expressed plaudits after class for writing more so about the small-town sports in the surrounding mountains than the urban updates they assigned. Therefore, I’m on par punning and penning Parkites’ pastimes. Turning high and early through my career, I’ve worked communications for The Olympics, the Paralympics and the Special Olympics. Additionally, there’s been National Geographic, Patagonia, NCAA, USA Nordic and the United States Library of Congress, so I guess you could say this ain’t my first rodeo.
