The 2024 Paris Olympic Games officially begin at the opening ceremony on July 26, but the men’s soccer gold medal race begins earlier.
Men’s soccer will be the very first Olympic event in 2024 when its first match kicks off the morning of July 24. In total, the tournament will run for just over two weeks before the gold medal game on August 9, which is two days before the closing ceremony of this year’s Games.
The men’s soccer bracket features 16 national teams split into four groups of four. The top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout stage, which features a quarterfinal and semifinal round before the bronze and gold medal games.
