Amidst Pakistan’s ongoing four-match T20I series against the defending T20 champions, England, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have released Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, starting in June.
After the chairman, Mohsin Naqvi’s displeasure with the selection process and the delay in the squad release, PCB finally released their squad with just a day to go before the deadline for submitting the squads.
PCB released the squad for Pakistan via a post on X, with skipper Babar Azam leading the team in the United States and the West Indies. In the previous edition of the tournament, Pakistan came ever so close to the trophy since their win way back in 2009 but lost to the eventual champions in the final of the tournament.
