Pair of Majettes earn soccer All-State first team honors – Minot Daily News

Jun 8, 2024
Minot High senior Emerson Perrin (22) was named as the 2024 NDHSCA Girls Soccer Senior Athlete of the Year.
It stands to reason that with five state soccer final games, four after COVID and three state soccer titles, there would be several stars in the program. As the 2023-2024 school year and sports season comes to an end, the North Dakota High School Activities Association (NDHSAA) honors those outstanding performers from the spring sports teams.
Minot High seniors Emerson Perrin and Maicee Burke were named to the 2024 NDHSCA Girls Soccer All-State First Team in recognition of their contributions and performance throughout the season. Perrin was also named as the 2024 NDHSCA Girls Soccer Senior Athlete of the Year.
In the 2024 regular season of play, Perrin scored 31 goals and tallied 20 assists. In the postseason she had four goals as well. Both stats were an improvement from the 2022-2023 season where she had 24 regular season goals and 13 assists. Perrin scored 51 points in 2023-2024 compared to 37 points in the 2022-2023 season.
Maicee Burke was named to the first team with Perrin and they have been partners in action all season. Burke scored 22 goals and 17 assists in the regular season. In the postseason, she scored four goals and added two assists. Her 2022-2023 stats were 29 goals in the regular season with seven assists. The point total for this season for Burke was 39 while 2022-2023 she tallied 36 points.
Burke has been consistent across the board in every sport she participates in and was rightfully honored as the Minot High Female Athlete of the Year as she finished her high school career.
Minot High senior Maicee Burke (12) was named to the 2024 NDHSAA Girls Soccer All-State Team.
Minot High senior Bria Lewis, a defender for the Majettes, was named to the 2024 NDHSCA Girls Soccer All-State Second Team. The Majettes allowed no goals in the regular season and only three goals in the postseason. Much of that success is due to the tenacious defense provided by Lewis. She recorded four assists in the regular season from the defender’s position. In the 2022-2023 regular season, Lewis scored one goal and had four assists as well.
Minot High freshman Kinsli Gilmore, the goalie for the Majettes, was also named to the 2024 NDHSCA Girls Soccer All-State Second Team. The standout keeper recorded 17 shutouts in the regular season of play. Her stellar play helped the Majettes outscore opponents 119-0 in the regular season and 12-3 in the postseason. As an eighth grader, Gilmore tallied ten shutouts in 2022-2023 and had 56 saves in regular season play.
