Oregon State women’s soccer coach Lauren Sinacola has resigned after a three-year run, the school announced Wednesday.
Sinacola, hired in July 2021, was Oregon State’s first female coach in women’s soccer. No reason was given for her resignation.
Sinacola is the second Oregon State women’s coach to resign during the past week. Earlier this week, women’s rowing coach Kate Maxim announced that she’s departing from the school after a seven-year run.
The Beavers are coming off a 4-8-7 season, including a 1-6-4 record in Pac-12 play. In Sinacola’s first season as coach, Oregon State won 11 games, the most since 2012. Sinacola’s three-year record at OSU was 20-25-12.
Oregon State is slated to open its 2024 season with an exhibition game against Oregon on Aug. 4. The Beavers begin play in the West Coast Conference this season.
