Rankings: Nebraska high school boys soccer, April 11
Defending state champion Omaha Creighton Prep notched a third notable victory in the span of eight days on Monday night, outlasting rival Omaha South for a 1-0 shootout victory.
The Top 10 No. 2 Junior Jays made all five of their attempts, and junior keeper Alec Sibbernsen came up with a stop of the final attempt to seal the win over third-ranked South.
It adds to a stretch that has now seen Prep (13-1) notch two wins over the Packers — the first coming in the Metro Conference tournament final a week earlier — and another over fourth-ranked Gretna, a rematch of last year’s state final, all in less than two weeks.

Austin Kaiser scored a pair of second-half goals, the difference in Class B No. 2 Bennington’s 3-2 win over third-ranked Omaha Skutt Monday night in a rematch of last year’s state final.
After teammate Beau Pick opened the scoring in the 36th minute, Kaiser tallied two more six minutes apart just after the break. They pushed the junior’s state-leading season total to 25.
Skutt would draw within one on junior Ben Schendt’s breakaway goal in the 74th minute. But the SkyHawks, winners of the last four Class B titles, could not find an equalizer.
