COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s always-anticipated spring game will be an historic one on Saturday.
Fox will carry the noon scrimmage, making the Buckeyes the first program with a nationally televised spring game.

The spring game offers fans the chance to see for the first time the new players who built a buzz over the previous 14 practices. This year, that includes freshman receiver Jeremiah Smith, freshman quarterback Julian Sayin, Alabama transfer safety Caleb Downs and Ole Miss transfer running back Quinshon Judkins.
It will also provide some insight into the ongoing quarterback competition, where Sayin is pushing to join third-year Buckeye Devin Brown and Kansas State transfer Will Howard as candidates to start on opening day.
The scrimmage is expected to follow an offense vs. defense format. Defensive scoring will include six points for a touchdown, three points for a takeaway, three points for forcing a three-and-out, two points for a sack and one for forcing a punt.
Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer will be in the Fox broadcast booth, along with Jason Benetti and Brady Quinn. Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft will provide sideline reporting.
General admission tickets are available through the Ohio State athletics website. Most are $10, with limited reserve seating levels at $22 and $37.
Fans can also find seats through major third-party ticket sites, such as VividSeats, StubHub, SeatGeek, TicketCity and Ticketmaster.
