North Korea’s U-17 women’s soccer team qualifies for World Cup with dominant run – NK News

Get behind the headlines
North Korea’s under-17 women’s soccer team qualified for the U-17 World Cup on Thursday after blowing out South Korea and squeezing by China, continuing the country’s renaissance in the sport since returning to international competition last year.
A solitary goal from midfielder Choe Yon-a following a mistake by China’s goalkeeper proved enough for the DPRK to eke out a win in a hard-fought U-17 Asian Cup semifinal in Indonesia.
