KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lexi Missimo became the sixth different student-athlete in the history of The University of Texas women’s soccer program to earn multiple United Soccer Coaches All-American honors after the organization announced its 2024 list. Missimo joins Trinity Byars, Julia Grosso, Cyera Hintzen, Kasey Moore and Kelly Wilson as the only Longhorn women’s soccer student-athletes to achieve the feat.
Missimo, who was a First Team All-American following the 2023 season, was selected to the Second Team for her performance throughout her senior season in 2024. She joins Byars (First Team – 2022; Second Team – 2023) as the only Longhorn women’s soccer student-athletes to be selected as either a First or Second Team United Soccer Coaches All-American in back-to-back seasons. Last week, Missimo was also selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast First Team and as a 2024 Women’s MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist for the second consecutive season.
Missimo was the only women’s soccer student-athlete in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) to score 10-or-more goals (12) and be credited with 10-or-more assists (13) this season. It marks the second consecutive season that the Southlake, Texas native has recorded a double figure goal and assist season after having 26 goals and 20 assists throughout the 2023 campaign.
This season’s All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in Chicago, Ill., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
