No. 1 WashU Women’s Soccer Set for UAA Showdown with No. 4 Carnegie Mellon on Friday – Washington University

Women’s Soccer
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The stage is set for one of the biggest matches of the season as the No. 1-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women’s soccer team takes on No. 4 Carnegie Mellon University this Friday at 3 p.m. at Francis Olympic Field. This clash between two of the top teams in both the University Athletic Association (UAA) and the nation promises to be an intense battle, with conference title and postseason implications on the line.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, as the winner of Friday’s match will take control of its own destiny in the race for the UAA championship and strengthen their positioning for an NCAA tournament run. WashU, under the guidance of head coach Jim Conlon, enters the match undefeated and sitting atop the national rankings, while Carnegie Mellon has been equally impressive, making this a must-watch contest for soccer fans.  Both programs face-off with undefeated records in the UAA.
The action doesn’t stop there! The Bears will be back on the field on Sunday at 11 a.m. to take on Case Western Reserve in another pivotal UAA matchup. With the weekend shaping up to be a crucial moment in WashU’s 2024 campaign, your support will be more important than ever.
Come out to Francis Olympic Field this weekend and cheer on the Bears as they continue their quest for the postseason. Let’s give our No. 1-ranked team the home-field advantage they deserve!
