Thomas Tuchel officially started his role as the new England manager on New Year’s Day.
The former Chelsea boss now has seven international windows to mould a squad capable of winning the 2026 World Cup in North America.

The German is renowned for being decisive – a trait Southgate undoubtedly lacked in abundance. After decades of failure, results are all that matter.
Tuchel’s penchant for falling out with people may be a Godsend for England. If they can’t win silverware under him, they probably never will.
Rangers trail Celtic by 14 points in the Scottish Premiership. Their latest meeting at Ibrox today will unlikely impact the title race but should still provide plenty of drama.
