Nepal beat Thailand in U-19 World Cup Cricket Asia Qualifiers – The Rising Nepal

Kathmandu, Nov 10: Nepal defeated Thailand under the ICC U-19 Women’s T-20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In the fourth match held on Sunday, Nepal routed Thailand by 106 runs.     
This is the second time that the two teams played under the tournament. In the first match, Nepal defeated Thailand by 67 runs.     
Batting first after winning toss, Nepal garnered 139 runs with the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. However, Thailand managed just 33 runs in 16 overs.     
Nepal’s cricketers Sana Prabin contributed 53 runs while Sabitri Dhami made 28 runs and 19 by Soni Pakhrin.     
Nepal also defeated Kuwait by 108 runs in the second match but lost to the UAE by 13 runs in third match held on Saturday. Along with hosts the UAE, Nepal, Kuwait and Thailand are participating in the competition. Each team will play two games against each other. The top ranked team among the four teams will qualify for the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup being held in Malaysia in January, 2025.     
Nepal is to play the fifth game with Kuwait on Tuesday.(RSS)
