The Nigeria Cricket Federation has named a strong 15-player squad for the 2025 ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia, in January 2025.
The NCF retained the team that qualified for the competition in Rwanda for the tournament which will be held from January 18 to February 2, 2025.

The team’s captain, Lucky Piety will lead 14 other players to the tournament alongside the likes of Shola Adekunle, Peculiar Agboya, Anointed Aikigbe, Lillian Ude, and Christabel Chukwuonye.
Other members are Kehinde Amusa, wicketkeeper Deborah Bassey, Bieni Jessica, Omosigbo Eguakun, Victory Igbinedion, Naomi Memeh, Beauty Oguai, Inyene Umoh, and super bowler Peace Usen.

Over 140 Players To Participate As Abuja Hosts National Women’s Cricket Championship
Kenyan coach, Sarah Bakhita is expected to lead the team to be assisted by former Yellow Greens captain Blessing Etim.
This is the second time Nigeria will be participating at a Cricket World Cup after the men’s U-19 team qualified for the World Cup in South Africa in 2019.

The Junior Yellow Greens will battle it out with New Zealand, South Africa, and Samoa in Group C.
Nigeria will open their campaign against Samoa on January 18, 2025 before taking on New Zealand two days later and South Africa on January 22, 2025.
