Michigan football recruiting stays hot with commitment from four-star edge Julius Holly – Detroit Free Press

It’s a June day that ends in “Y,” which recently has meant someone committed to play for Michigan football.
That was again the case Saturday afternoon when the Wolverines locked down a commitment from four-star edge Julius Holly in the 2025 class. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound defensive lineman from Alpharetta, Georgia, chose U-M over Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas A&M, among others.
“100% committed 🔵 #GoBlue,” Holly posted on social media.
Holly is the No. 38 rated player in Georgia, per 247 Sports’ composite rankings, which also slots him as the No. 22 edge in the country and the No. 301 overall player in the class.
He is the fourth defensive line commitment to pledge to head coach Sherrone Moore and new DL coach Lou Esposito; he joins four-star Nathaniel Marshall (Oak Park, Illinois), four-star Jaylen Williams (Palatine, Illinois) and four-star Bobby Kanka (Howell).

The commitment continued a red-hot month on the recruiting trail for Moore & Co., who have landed eight commits in the current senior class and nine overall in the past 20 days. Michigan now has 13 commits in its upcoming class, is rated No. 15 in the country and doesn’t appear to be slowing down soon.
There’s another trio of players on commit watch over the next couple of weeks, which include four-star OL Hardy Watts (Brookline, Massachusetts), four-star TE Andrew Olesh (Center Valley, Pennsylvania), and three-star WR Phillip Wright (Destrehan, Louisiana).
