The key to Mexico girl’s soccer’s win against Fulton was their defense.
MEXICO – Mexico girls soccer took on Fulton in an intense matchup on Thursday. The Bulldog’s great offense and defense led them to the win, 2-0.
At the beginning of the first half, both the Hornets and Bulldogs had great defense, but it was Mexico’s strong control of the field that gave them the advantage to score.
Mexico’s offense began to put it in gear and Claire Hudson scored a nice goal, Bulldogs up 1-0.
The rest of the first half was all Mexico’s defense that kept Fulton from scoring. Even when the Hornets were in range of a score, the Bulldogs kept their ground.
At the second half, the Bulldogs put it away, spending almost the entire first half with Mexico in possession of the ball.
For the second goal, Brenda Matuz sets up Grace Hudson to put the Bulldogs on the board once again.
Mexico beats Fulton 2-0.
