Mensah To Officiate 2026 World Cup Qualifiers – Front Page Africa




Monrovia- LiberiaFIFALiberi FIFA-badged referee Emmanuel Mensah will officiate a 2026 World Cup qualifier between Somalia and Botswana at the Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo, Mozambique at 15:00GMT on 10 June.
FIFA-badged assistant referees Joel Doe and Ephraim Grant will serve as assistant referees while Hassan Corneh will serve as fourth official.
Mensah during the just ended national county sports meet officiated the grand final and received lots of accommodations from Liberians and others who watched the game for is excellent officiating.
He has been on of the best men with the whilst in the last three years which resulted to his selection as a n international referee.
Meanwhile it is not clear if Hassan Corneh who has not officiated a game over three months will make the trip.
Corneh who is a FIFA badge referee current is in Canada seeking Greener pasture and has not been actively involved with match officiating.
Somalia, bottom and pointless in Group G after two games, doesn’t have a stadium approved by CAF and FIFA for international matches. 
They will play Mozambique on 7 June in Maputo before hosting Botswana three days later.
