BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – Nick Saban will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, as part of the 2025 class.
The news was announced to Saban as a surprise by colleagues on ESPN, during a pregame show for the Cotton Bowl.
The announcement is no surprise; Saban is widely seen as the best coach in college football history. He won 7 national championships, including one with LSU and six with Alabama.
His overall record, 292-71-1 with Toledo, Michigan State, LSU and Alabama, makes him the 15th winningest coach in college football history.
Saban retired one year ago today, on January 10, 2024.
Saban will be inducted with the rest of the 2025 class in December 2025. The College Football Hall of Fame is located in Atlanta, Georgia.
