Mahomet-Seymour Boys’ Soccer Dominates Taylorville 7-0 to Cap Off Apollo Conference Championship Season – Mahomet Daily

Mahomet-Seymour’s Apollo Conference champion boys’ soccer team closed out the regular season on Thursday (Oct. 17) with a 7-0 win at Taylorville.
The shutout was the fifth of the season for M-S.
Chris Bowie, Travis Hoffman and Colin Jackson all netted two goals. Scoring one goal was Preston Sriver.
Hoffman had three assists and Jackson had two. Bowie and Tate Kimball both had one assist.
M-S (14-7-2 overall) returns to action on Tuesday at Urbana against Mount Zion in a Class 2A IHSA regional semifinal match.
When the schools played in the regular season, M-S secured a 2-0 win in the first meeting with the rematch ending in a 2-2 deadlock.
In the Apollo, M-S (8-1-1 league mark) edged runner-up Effingham (8-2) for team supremacy.
