MURRAY — Murray State Women’s Soccer announced the addition of transfer defender Dominae Butler on Friday.
Butler appeared in 12 games for the Broncos in 2024, earning one start in a Sept. 15 match against DePaul. The Indianapolis, Indiana native also recorded a season-high 44 minutes in the 1-1 tie against the Blue Demons.
Western Michigan finished the season with a 13-2-6 record and won both the regular season and tournament championships in the Mid-American Conference.
Before joining the Broncos, Butler prepped at Park Tudor High School where she was named All-State.
Racers Head Coach Matt Lodge talked about his newest acquisition to the program.
“I’m very excited about the addition of Dom to our program this spring. Dom is an athletic, tough center-back who brings a championship mentality. She played a role in WMU’s two MAC Championships in 2024 and will bring a high level of play to Murray. Dom comes from a fantastic club, FC Pride- where she played with current Racers Breece Bass and Sarah Edmonds. It’s the same club we recruited hall of famer Miyah Watford from, and we always know Pride develop top players.”
