The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd FIFA World Cup. The tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026. It will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
Matches are taking place from Wednesday, 05 June 2024 – Tuesday, 11 June 2024.

20h05: Guinea-Bissau v Egypt – Group A leaders Egypt drop points for the first time, although they still have a comfortable four-point cushion to Guinea-Bissau after four matches, with Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone a further two points adrift ahead of their clash later on this evening.

20:00 — Uganda 1-2 Algeria. The Group G match ends with the Desert Foxes grabbing all three points. Uganda surrendered their lead and ended up missing an opportunity. As it stands the nation remains first, Uganda are 5th however have the same number of points as Mozambique, Guinea and Botswana.

19h07: Guinea-Bissau v Egypt – The second half gets underway in Bissau as Hossam Hassan’s side look to turn things around after conceding just before the break.

18:49 — Uganda 1-0 Algeria — Half time. West Ham forward Said Benrahma almost equalised for Algeria but the effort will not count. The teams are separated by Mutyaba’s early goal.
Towards the end of the half Algeria were attacking in hopes of drawing level.

17h00 – Somalia 1-3 Botswana (Hassan 74′, Sesinyi 10′, Gaolaolwe 53′, Seakanyeng 71′): The Zebras climb up to the second spot in the Group G standings after overcoming the Ocean Stars who remain sixth on the table.
Somalia will be hoping to secure their first win in Group G when the 2026 World Cup qualifiers resume in March 2025 and Botswana will play host to Algeria.

16h28 – Somalia 0-2 Botswana: The Ocean Stars are attacking in numbers as they look to pull one back, but goalkeeper Goitseone Phoko is determined to keep a clean sheet this afternoon having made two saves thus far with 68 minutes played.
