Tech giant Lenovo has announced its partnership with FIFA as the Official Technology Partner, aligning with FIFA’s highest sponsorship level. The partnership will span the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, and the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
“Lenovo will be powering the largest sporting and entertainment events, meeting the global demand for data processing and technology.” said Yuanqing Yang, chair and CEO of Lenovo.
He emphasized that Lenovo’s innovations will enhance the fan experience while providing reliable, AI-driven support across the events.
Through this partnership, Lenovo will supply a range of products and services, including ThinkPad laptops, Motorola mobile devices, and AI-integrated systems, to support the tournaments. These tools will aid in stadium operations, and broadcast efficiency, and offer improved access to data and analytics, contributing to a broader reach of the sport worldwide.
“We are excited to welcome Lenovo as a partner who will help us implement technologies to create unforgettable experiences at the FIFA World Cup 2026 and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027,” said Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA.
He noted the importance of data and technology in fostering connections with fans.
The 2026 World Cup will bring 48 teams together across three countries, while the 2027 Women’s World Cup will feature 32 teams, marking the tournament’s first appearance in South America.
