Senior Evan O’Leary and freshman Ava Hartman have each been named to the D2CCA All-Region First Team representing the Lenoir-Rhyne women’s soccer.
This marks the second consecutive D2CCA All-Region honor for O’Leary, who was named to the second team last year. This season she was named the SAC Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the second straight Bear to win the award. O’Leary finished her season tied for the team lead with eight goals and led the nation with 15 assists. She sits at second all-time in LR history for single season assists, and her career mark of 31 assists is also second all-time. Her 83 points puts her firmly in sixth in LR history.
Hartman broke out during her redshirt freshman season, totaling eight goals and one assist. She notched the game winning goals against Carson-Newman and Limestone, the second of which was in the SAC Tournament first round. For her efforts, Hartman was named an All-SAC First-Team honoree.
Thanks to O’Leary and Hartman, the Bears now have 73 All-Region honorees all-time.
