A late equalizer from Taylor Day helped RMU secure a 1-1 tie against Northern Kentucky University (NKU) on Saturday.
The never say die Colonials now sit at 3-4-5 overall and 2-1-2 in Horizon League play.
It was the second straight match where Robert Morris found an equalizer in the second half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
RMU registered one shot and one corner kick during the first half. NKU’s Meghan Belrose received a yellow card in the 25th minute.
NKU quickly broke the deadlock, scoring just 21 seconds into the second half with a goal by Lilly Yordy.
In the 54th minute, NKU’s Alyssa Carnes was shown a yellow card.
RMU leveled the game with 10 minutes remaining. Jillian Marvin sent in a free-kick from 40 yards out, which found Taylor Day at the back post for the equalizer.
