David Raya could become the Best Men’s Goalkeeper after securing the Premier League’s Golden Glove at the end of last season, and helping Spain to win UEFA Euro 2024.

He’s up against Gianluigi Donnarumma, Ederson, Andriy Lenin, Mike Maignan, Emiliano Martinez, and Unai Simon.
Nominated for the Best Men’s XI are David Raya, Gabriel, William Saliba, Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka.
In the Best Women’s XI, nominations include Mariona Caldentey, Steph Catley, Katie McCabe and Emily Fox.
Mariona Caldentey is also in line for the Best Women’s Player award, thanks to her achievements with Barcelona and Spain last season.
She’s up against Barbra Banda, Ona Batlle, Aitana Bonmati, Lucy Bronze, Tabitha Chawinga, Naomi Girma, Caroline Graham Hansen, Lauren Hemp, Lindsey Horan, Salma Paralluelo, Trinity Rodman, Khadija Shaw, Sophia Smith, Mallory Swanson, and Kiera Walsh.
Last but not least, Beth Mead is in contention for the Marta Award, which celebrates the best goal scored by a women’s team player.
Her strike against West Ham United, scored on November 26, 2023, came one month after returning from a long-term ACL injury. It was a game-changing goal at Meadow Park, cutting onto her left foot and curling the ball into the top corner.
Her effort is up against goals from Delphine Cascarino, Marina Hegering, Sakina Karchaoui, Paulina Krumbiegel, Marta, Nina Matejic, Giuseppina Moraca, Assist Oshoala, Mayra Pelayo, and Trinity Rodman.
