Japanese snowboarders put on an absolutely dominant performance at the FIS Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup in Copper Mountain claiming five of the six podium spots between the men’s and women’s divisions.
The massive 22-foot-tall Olympic qualifying standard sized halfpipe was in perfect condition and the Japanese let loose. Congratulations to 15-year-old Sara Shimizu who claimed her first career World Cup victory and Ayumu Hirano who dazzled the judges with his third and final run earning an incredible 97.00.
