Jahzare Jackson Commits to Georgia Football; Played AAU Basketball with Bronny James – Bleacher Report

Jahzare Jackson, a former basketball prospect who played with Bronny James at the AAU level, is making the switch to football and committing to Georgia, according to Rivals.
🚨Jahzare Jackson (<a href="https://twitter.com/jahzarre?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@jahzarre</a>) has committed to Georgia🚨<br><br>Jackson is a former basketball player that is making the switch to football. The 6’11” and 340-pound offensive tackle is considered a 3-star prospect by 247Sports.com.
“Why UGA? Shoot, I fell in love with the coaches. I fell in love with the school. Players were welcoming when I got there,” Jackson said in his announcement, per Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports.com. “I’m still in Georgia too, at the end of the day. That was a big thing for me still being able to be in Georgia. I just felt like when I got there it was home for real. All the coaches were cool.”

Whether he ever sees the field at Georgia, however, is another question entirely. Andrew Ivins of 247Sports.com provided the following scouting report on the very raw prospect:
The Bulldogs already had the best recruiting class in the nation for the 2024 cycle—Jackson is a belated entry to that group—which featured four 4-star offensive tackle recruits.
The Bulldogs also rank third in the 2025 recruiting rankings behind only Ohio State and Alabama, though Georgia hasn’t added any offensive tackles to that group.
Nonetheless, competition for playing time will be incredibly high for Jackson, who will need to develop quickly to ever see the field for the loaded Bulldogs.
