Italy’s 2006 World Cup winners reunited in Viareggio last night for a party with their ex-coach Marcello Lippi.
Italy players from the 2006 World Cup, which the Azzurri won in Germany, reunited at a hotel in Viareggio last night.
Viareggio is the hometown of Lippi, the coach of that legendary Italy side.
The ex-manager reunited with his former players, and according to Corriere dello Sport, he was visibly moved while hugging them.
Pictures and videos from the Italy 2006 World Cup party are starting to emerge on social media.
Gigi Buffon posted a picture showing ‘the coach and his group’ and a giant Azzurri cake with the names of every Italian player who won the World Cup over 18 years ago.
