BASEL, Switzerland, Jan. 11, 2025–Isabell Werth and DSP Quantaz won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday for the globe’s top rider to move closer to qualifying for her 26th Final in April.
Isabell and the 15-year-old German Sport Horse gelding were awarded 85.735%, the third victory in pursuit of a sixth title at the championships at this same arena.
Isabel Freese of Norway and Total Hope OLD, the Totilas stallion, was runner-up on 83.490%.
Frederic Wandres on the 15-year-old Blueooth OLD that he rode as a team mate with Isabell Werth on the Paris Olympic gold medal team, was third on 83.105%. Frederic curtailed his Florida winter circuit to focus on seeking to qualify for the Final.
