Iran wins silver at 2024/25 Oran Sabre World Cup – Tehran Times


TEHRAN – In a thrilling final at the 2024/25 Oran Sabre World Cup, Team Korea triumphed with a 45-35 victory over Iran, claiming the gold in the Men’s Team event.
Team Melli consisted of Ali Pakdaman, Mohammad Fotouhi, Mohammad Rahbari, and Farzad Baher.
Italy seized the bronze with a 45-32 victory over the U.S. in the bronze medal match.
In the final of the Women’s Team event, Hungary won the gold medal with a 45-36 victory over Poland.
Nearly 300 fencers from 37 countries partook in the first stage of the Fencing World Cup (sabre) of the 2024/2025 season, taking place on 7-10 November in Oran, Algeria.
