Inter Milan have reportedly scheduled an imminent meeting with the agent of Lautaro Martinez, one that could prove to be decisive for the player’s future.
The 26-year-old’s contract extension talks have become the hottest topic surrounding the club in recent days.

The Nerazzurri have been negotiating a new contract with the player’s agent Alejandro Camano for quite some time now.
While the two parties had portrayed the new contract as an almost done deal in previous months, the significant gap between the two parties has now come to light.
As we reported earlier today, Inter are offering the player a net salary of 8.5 million euros per year.
The management feels it cannot exceed this limit, as it would stimulate a domino effect on other contract negotiations. This is something that the Nerazzurri can ill-afford at the moment.
Nevertheless, Camano is reportedly requesting a salary worth 12M per year, one that increases in the following years.
Therefore, the club could eventually decide to place the player on the market as a last resort to protect its interests.
However, the two parties will try to rescue the situation before talks completely falter.
According to FcInterNews, Camano is already in Milano for a crucial meeting with the club’s directors.
However, the source doesn’t expect the decisive summit to take place today, but in the next 48 hours.
The report thus expects the two parties to have their meeting by Saturday, which should shed some light on the player’s future.
Martinez has been at the club since 2018 and has now cemented himself as the ultimate Nerazzurri star. He also inherited the captaincy last summer.
The striker’s current deal will expire in June 2026.
