Dhoni last played for India at the 2019 ODI World Cup, and announced his retirement in August 2020; he does not play any cricket apart from the IPL.
Despite a good start with the ball, India A finds itself slightly behind the curve in the first innings thanks to a solid knock from Australia A skipper Nathan McSweeney. The host trails by only 8 runs with six more wickets in hand.
Earlier, India’s batting order struggled to keep up with the pace and bounce of the Australian pitches to get shot out for 107 with only Sai Sudharsan and Devdutt Padikkal managing to play out a few deliveries. India A will hope for a flurry of wickets early in the morning tomorrow.
