LAFAYETTE — Week eight of high school football was highlighted by another dominant performance by Lafayette Jeff which overcame a slow start to score six touchdowns in the second half to capture its first victory over Harrison since 2020.
West Lafayette outplayed a talented but inexperienced Twin Lakes program while Central Catholic dominated Benton Central and McCutcheon fell to Kokomo.

Usually two athletes don’t get paired in one slot but given how well both carriers performed. Adkins and Richmond each rushed for 131 yards and combined for three touchdowns as Lafayette Jeff beat Harrison 45-21.
While Harrison fell short, it wasn’t because of the effort made by Gonzalez who made plays on both offense and defense. Gonzalez caught two 30-yard touchdown passes along with an interception off quarterback Keyen Crowder.
Delgatto made eight tackles for loss including six sacks and accumulated 34 yards of loss in a runaway 79-0 win over Benton Central.
Hammond returned an interception for 72 yards to score a touchdown and made three tackles to help lead Carroll over Clinton Prairie 42-0.
Musch caught five passes for 100 yards and scored a touchdown for Rensselaer which beat River Forest 42-21.
Martin rushed for 219 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries as West Lafayette beat Twin Lakes 49-21.
Moore ran for a school-record 390 yards, and four touchdowns on 26 carries and Covington beat Attica 45-0.
Pearson rushed for 198 yards on 24 carries and four touchdowns to lead the Cavaliers over Bowman Academy 66-22.
Chandler caught four passes for 124 yards including a 61-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Lonnie Griffin in McCutcheon’s 28-20 loss to Kokomo.
