The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is almost over, bringing one final week of the world’s best cricket to the United States and West Indies co-hosts. There are a few easy ways to live stream the matches, which we’ve laid out below. Keep reading to learn how to watch the T20 World Cup from anywhere.
The tournament began on June 1 and has steadily advanced over the past month with at least one game almost every day. The teams just finished the Super 8 stage of the tournament, which saw a few shocking eliminations, including Australia. The Australian national team faced a surprise defeat by Afghanistan, which left them all but eliminated when they were also beaten by India. But it wasn’t until the late Monday night Afghanistan vs. Bangladesh game, which saw Afghanistan walk away with a win, that the semi-final matches were finally set in stone.
While the USA put up a strong fight in the group stages, they were eliminated pretty quickly in the Super 8. The semi-final matches will feature South Africa vs. Afghanistan on Wednesday and India vs. England on Thursday. The winners from each of those games will go on to compete in the final on Saturday, June 29.
Whether you’re a longtime cricket fan or looking to explore the sport for the first time, we’ve got you covered. Below, we’ve highlighted some of the best ways to tune in to every match.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be available to stream through Willow TV in the US. Sling TV and Fubo both carry Willow through their respective plans. Sling’s Desi Binge plan carries Willow and starts at just $15 a month, with the first month currently going for just $10. At $79.99 a month, Fubo is the more expensive option here, but it comes with a lot more channel variety and a one-week free trial, so this might be the way to go if you’re looking for a comprehensive cable alternative.
For just the essentials without any extra fluff, Sling TV is the streaming service you’re looking for. It’s more customizable than other plans, with three options you can choose from, so you pay for only what you need. New members get their first month for $25 off.
Fubo is the streaming service for sports fans. Its huge library of channels includes regional and international sports leagues, setting it apart from the competition. You can also tack on additional programming to your plan, but it’ll cost you extra.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will stream through Sky Sports in the UK. Prices vary depending on your plan. This is also where you can catch several other ongoing sporting events, including the spring and summer’s major golf tournaments.
If you don’t want to sign up for a full-size TV deal like that, though, you can try Sky’s Now TV service, which mainly operates on one-month rolling contracts and is streaming only (no hardware installations required). Prices start at just £14.99. This is a decent option to pair with a VPN if you’re not in the UK right now.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will stream through Prime Video in Australia. Subscriptions start at $9.99 a month and come with a 30-day free trial.
It doesn’t appear that, even with a VPN, UK/US Prime subscriptions can cash in on this. You can log in with your account, but Australian Prime appears to be a separate membership – unlike when we’ve bounced around between UK and US Prime Video collections in the past via a VPN. So if you do want to access Prime Video in Australia with a VPN, it looks like you’ll have to pay for it on its own.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will stream for free through Disney+ Hotstar in India. This differs from regular Disney+ and requires an Indian phone number to sign up, so people from other countries with Disney+ accounts won’t be able to use this.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will live stream on DStv in South Africa. Viewers will be able to stream the games through the cricket-focused Sports channel. The Premium plan costs R799 a month, and other tiers vary in price.
If you’ll be traveling away from home during any part of the competition, you can keep up with your subscriptions using a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs allow you to change the virtual location on your electronic devices. In addition to boosting your online privacy, this enables you to keep up with your usual websites and apps from anywhere. This option will work best for people who are simply traveling abroad and hoping to access their existing subscriptions since the services we’ve outlined today require country-specific forms of payment.
If this sounds like something that might be a good fit for you, we recommend trying out ExpressVPN. It’s a straightforward VPN with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Our official ExpressVPN review has all of the details.
With its consistent performance, reliable security, and expansive global streaming features, ExpressVPN is the best VPN out there, excelling in every spec and offering many advanced features that makes it exceptional. Better yet, you can save up to 49% and get an extra three months for free today.
