WATCH THE SOCCEROOS ON PARAMOUNT+ VIA PRIME VIDEO
The Socceroos travel to Bahrain looking for revenge after a shock defeat to the Gulf nation in the reverse fixture.
Bahrain had never defeated the Socceroos, but that all changed in September when a late own goal saw them secure a 1-0 win on the Gold Coast, and was the beginning of the end of Graham Arnold’s tenure as coach.
The Socceroos currently sit second in Group C – which is one of the automatic qualification spots – but are level on points with Saudi Arabia and China and are just a point ahead of Bahrain.
Make no mistake, this game is a must win if Australia are to qualify automatically for the 2026 World Cup in North America.
