Soccer administrator Vincent Treglia has announced his candidacy for USSF Adult Commissioner.
Treglia is Region 1 treasurer is a  member of several U.S. Adult Soccer Association committees. He also is a trustee of Eastern New York Adult Soccer Association. He is ENY State Cup chairman and is a member of several ENY committees.
As commissioner, Treglia said that he will prioritize enhancing adult soccer in general, which includes improving accessibility and the quality of the programs; supporting the grassroots, and inclusivity and diversity; developing partnerships; and having policies that will benefit the entire adult community.
“To achieve these goals, I will enhance adult soccer by creating accessible and high-quality programs, support grassroots efforts by fostering community engagement, and develop partnerships to improve resources for all,” Treglia said in a statement. “I will prioritize collaborative leadership by valuing membership input and maintaining transparency. Through strategic planning, I will drive policy development that benefits the entire adult soccer community.
“With over two decades of dedicated involvement in soccer, I bring a wealth of experience and passion to the role. My journey, from a young goalkeeper in Queens, N.Y., to a coach, administrator, and referee, has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities within our sport. I have a proven track record of success in various roles.”
Outside of soccer, Treglia is director, international taxation at Mario Treglia CPA, managing partner at Treglia Consulting LLC, and previous Senior Management roles at EinserAmper, and Ernst & Young.
He also is the founder and president of Kick-Start a Cure, a non-profit supporting cancer patients and their families.
