WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Wausau West and D.C. Everest girls soccer were victorious in their games Thursday night, with Wausau West beating SPASH and D.C. Everest beat Wisconsin Rapids.
D.C. Everest pitched a shutout against Wisconsin Rapids on a rainy Wisconsin Rapids field, taking a 4-0 win. Ava Hopper led Madison Sazama up the field for the first goal of the game. They kept the pressure on as Binne Braunger cleaned up a deflection for the second goal of the game. D.C. Everest improves to 4-0-1 in Wisconsin Valley Conference play, while Wisconsin Rapids drops to 2-2.
Wausau West used a fast start to beat SPASH 3-2. Emily Lucht and Reghan Quirt scored for the Warriors in the first 20 minutes. Wausau West improves to 3-1 while SPASH drops to 3-2
