The top-seeded Gators won the Metro Conference Tournament on their home field. Both teams are seeking VISAA bids this weekend. Mikey Urbaniak had two hits and three RBIs for Greenbrier, while Payton Shipman and Preston Luke had two hits. Jack Bonney added three RBIs. Winning pitcher Tucker Rupe allowed only three hits over five innings. For the Seahawks, Patrick Dudley had three hits.
Churchland 16, Norcom 0
Damian Sasser and Daniel Sellers had two hits apiece, and AJ Boone hit his fourth home run. Damian Sasser pitched four innings, striking out 10 and yielding no hits.
Norview 19, Manor 5
Chris Alcantara was 2 for 3 with three runs, three steals and three RBIs for the Pilots (7-10). Philip Mason was the winning pitcher.

Norfolk Academy 4, Walsingham Academy 0
Coach Tim LaVigne’s 100th victory was the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools championship game. CJ Murray pitched a shutout, and Matt Camardella had two hits and scored twice.

#4 Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 10, Cape Henry 0
The Saints rolled in a five-inning game for the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools Tournament title. Ellie Benes earned tournament MVP honors for batting .833 in the event.
Metro Conference final
#5 Greenbrier Christian 9, Broadwater Academy 0
The top-seeded Gators, playing at home in the Metro Conference Tournament final, had 16 hits to beat the second-seeded Vikings. Cayden Thomas and Allie Dahlman had three apiece. Katelyn Balka hit two doubles, collecting four RBIs. Winner Linda Hodge struck out 13 and pitched a two-hitter.
#11 Poquoson 17, Bruton 0
Brooklyn Arneault struck out 10 in a five-inning one-hitter and added a single, a double and an RBI for the visiting Islanders. Alyssa Laney doubled twice, scored four runs and drove in three.

Lily Means and Zoey Zielinski combined to go 4 for 4 with seven RBIs and six runs. Winning pitcher Jada Olexa struck out 10 and walked none in the 4 1/2-inning game, and Jayden Accurso was 2 for 2 with a double and a run.

Morgan Hauser went 3 for 3 with three RBIs, and Olivia Peterson went 3 for 4. Winning pitcher Alexa Colon struck out 12.

JaShaun Johnson and Kazmer Dobrasz scored twice each for the Knights, and Elijah Perry netted the other goal. Hunter Velbis scored for the SunDevils.

Justin Jordan scored twice for the Lions. Max Adolphe and Keegan Jones also netted a goal apiece for Tallwood.

Cam Sadr headed in a Frank Morgan corner kick in the first overtime for the winning goal. The Yellow Jackets’ Thomas Dox scored in the first half, but the Commodores’ Donovan Crosswell scored in the 79th minute to force extra time.

Skylar Miller had two goals and an assist, and Ava Bourne had two assists and a goal for the Patriots. Keaveny Dull, Maddie Hermoso, Camryn Marcondes, Emma Todd and Rowan Dull had the other goals. Sydney Miller had an assist.
TCIS Tournament final
#5 Norfolk Academy 2, Steward 0
The top-seeded Bulldogs won the TCIS Tournament over the second-seeded Spartans on goals by Addy Hennessy and Maria Delyannis, completing a repeat of regular-season and tourney titles. The VISAA state tourney is next for them.
Cox 1, Kempsville 1
The Falcons’ Olivia Prettyman scored from a Makiyah Correa assist.
Princess Anne 3, Bayside 0
Audren Barclay had a goal and an assist for the Cavaliers. Alannis Velazquez and Olivia Dietz also scored.
Maury 6, Northampton 0
Seniors Lili White, Xiomari Green, Nora Schuurman and Millie Darden all had a goal on the Commodores’ Senior Night.
Metro Conference final
Atlantic Shores 6, StoneBridge 0
The Seahawks shut out the Cavaliers for the Metro Conference Tournament championship. Both schools will find out this weekend about their status in the VISAA state tournament — Atlantic Shores in Division II and StoneBridge in D-III.

Kole Hixenbaugh had seven goals and four assists and Liam Waldron had three goals and four assists. Matt Goodman had two goals and an assist, Barrett Glasser had two goals, Luke Rhoades had a goal and an assist, Christian Braithwaite scored a goal and Connor Warren had two assists.
Tallwood 7, Green Run 5
Kingston Harris and Andrew Davern scored three goals each for the Lions. Caleb Patterson added a goal, and Mikey Harkleroad had 16 saves.

The Lions were powered by seven goals from Jaydyn Lim and three apiece from Taylor Jefferson and Grace Sabalerio.

Cape Henry 8, Norfolk Academy 7, OT
The Dolphins erased a 7-2 halftime deficit to overcome the Bulldogs. TCIS Player of the Year Madeleine Keogh found a seam to score the overtime winner, her only goal of the night. Lylah Mellott scored four goals and Emma Hardy three. Hardy and Liza Pridgen had assists, and winning goalie Rhiannon Walter made seven saves.

Norfolk Academy went unbeaten for the day and took a runaway lead in competition among seven teams. Play will resume at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The Bulldogs are in all nine finals and are seeded first in seven brackets. Norfolk Collegiate reached finals in four brackets, Steward three and Hampton Roads Academy two. The race for second place in the team standings will be competitive.
