It’s hard to imagine a football player making more of an impact in one quarter than Seton LaSalle sophomore Khalil Taylor did Thursday night.
Taylor scored five touchdowns in the first quarter, leading the Rebels to a 65-12 nonsection victory over Shady Side Academy. Taylor scored on a 77-yard kickoff return, a 70-yard interception return and touchdown catches of 15, 11 and 88 yards.
He finished with four catches for 132 yards while quarterback Michael Pastririk went 10 of 18 for 249 yards and four scores. Aaron Loritts also scored on an interception return and Kia Jones Jr. had a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown to Tommy Hazlip for the Rebels (7-0). Eric Swan threw two touchdown passes for the Bulldogs (2-6).
Butler 7, Allderdice 0 – There was not much offense from either team as Butler amassed 153 total yards and Allderdice had 180 in a nonsection 7-0 win that brought the Golden Tornado back to .500.
Running back Nicco Baggetta scored the only touchdown for Butler (4-4) on a 4-yard run. Baggetta finished the night with 65 yards on 24 carries.
For Allderdice (4-4), quarterback Trecyn Ford threw for 104 yards on 8 of 14 passing. Dav’veion Lee led Dragon receivers with 35 yards on two catches.
