Most of the Florida football incoming 2025 freshman class will arrive on campus next week, eager to get a jump on development for the upcoming season.
Of the 25 players in the Florida Gators latest recruiting class, 20 are enrolling for the spring semester, which starts Jan. 13. That includes five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson and two-star tight end Cameron Kossman, two late additions to UF’s class.
Wilson opted out of his financial agreement with Oregon to sign with UF in late December, while Kossman singed with UF over the holiday break.
The additions of Kossman and Wilson moved UF’s class up a spot to 10th nationally, per 247Sports, as the Gators look to continue make progress under head coach Billy Napier. UF ended the 2024 season on a four-game win streak, beating Tulane 33-8 in the Gasparilla Bowl to finish 8-5.
Overall, the Gators are 19-19 in three seasons under Napier, who is trying to build a sustainable program through a combination of high school recruiting and selective transfer portal additions.
By enrolling early, the Florida freshmen will be eligible to take part in spring practices and play in UF’s spring game. Last year, Florida freshman running back Jadan Baugh enrolled early and opened some eyes in UF’s spring game, rushing for a game-high 77 yards.
