HBO is “in production on a documentary series that will follow” the USMNT in its run-up to the 2026 World Cup in North America. The series will “continue production over the next two years and will air in 2026.” HBO promises an “‘unprecedented’ look into the team’s tournament preparations,” following the team “from the 2022 tournament in Qatar (where the USMNT made the round of 16), through the hiring of new manager Mauricio Pochettino.” Park Stories and HBO Sports Documentaries are producing the series in association with the U.S. Soccer Federation and the U.S. National Soccer Team Players Association (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 10/24).
