HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – The Hastings College Broncos football coaching staff offered their expertise to area high school teams, hosting an 8-man football camp.
Sandy Creek, Palmer, Centennial and Ravenna attended this year.
“We don’t do anything different than we do with our own players, we teach them technique, form, hand placement and footwork and all of those little things that we think are important whether you’re playing eight man football or six man football or 11 man football,” said Matt Franzen, Hastings College football coach.
The camp creates an opportunity for athletes to receive training from NAIA level coaches, while allowing the program to make deeper community connections.
“It’s really important for us from a recruiting standpoint, really from a relationship standpoint, building our program in the area,” said Franzen.
