Has FIFA Found Itself a Partner for Its Games? < NAG – NAG

It looks like FIFA may have finally picked a new partner for their digital gaming franchise after calling it quits with EA back in 2022.
Of course, this is an unconfirmed rumour from MohPlay Inc., a Ghanaian video game and console shop.
MohPlay Inc. not only says that 2K will be releasing the next FIFA title but that we can expect FIFA 2K25 to be released this year already, just in time for the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
Some of us usually relate 2K to RPG or city-builder games like Borderlands, Mafia or Civilization, but they also develop quite a few titles from the sports arena too. These titles include NBA, WWE, PGA, and most recently, Top Spin, a tennis game.
2K has secured the official license from FIFA to create the next FIFA video game!
The partnership is confirmed, and 2K will be developing a new football game series.

The news has received mixed reactions from the footballing community, though. Some are excited to see a challenger for EA’s FC titles, while others are concerned about how money-hungry 2K has been in the past with a few of their sports titles by throwing in micro-transactions everywhere they can. Others don’t believe that 2K can produce a full FIFA-licensed game in the timeframe MohPlay Inc. suggests.
At the end of it all, I guess it will all come down to which company can secure the best licenses for its games, as no one really wants to play as generic football team A in generic football league B.
What do you think about FIFA returning with 2K as its publisher? Let us know in the comments below.
