FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Some young football players in Fort Wayne got to learn from one of the greatest talents in the history of the sport.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Rod Woodson returned to his old high school, hosting another year of his Hope Through Football Camp at Snider.
The camp was open to kids from five through thirteen years old, and Woodson said 425 campers signed up this year.
In addition to teaching football skills, Woodson hopes to impart some life lessons on all the kids that attend.
“Hopefully we can make them better students, better brothers, sisters, teammates,” Woodson said. “Better in the community.”
Former NFL running back Rod Smith was among the staff helping out at the camp this year.
