Guinea will hope to build on from their last outing when they take on Mozambique in their fourth match of the CAF 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Monday evening.
Kick-off is at 21:00 CAT.
Guinea will aim to build on and make it four wins on the spin in this fixture that will be played at the M’Hamed El Abdi Stadium. For Mozambique, the team will also direct their focus on replicating the result from their last outing where they were victorious.
Guinea continued their recent recovery with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Algeria’s Fennec Foxes at the Nelson Mandela Stadium on Thursday.
Kaba Diawara’s side took the lead five minutes into the second half through Morlaye Sylla, but were quickly pulled back by Yasser Balde’s own goal, which was followed by Aguibou Camara’s winner just after the hour mark.
As a result, the National Elephants have advanced to second position in their World Cup qualification Group G, trailing only Algeria on goal difference.
They will face an opposing team that has yet to win any of the previous four editions of this fixture, having suffered three defeats.
After not losing a home game in just under a year, Monday’s hosts will be confident of repeating their success in front of their fans.
As for Mozambique, the team ended a four-game winless record in all competitions by defeating Somalia 2-1 at Estadio do Zimpeto on Friday afternoon.
