After a great career and a terrific senior season with the Montana Grizzlies, Braxton Hill is hoping to parlay that success into an opportunity at playing professional football.
“It’d be a dream come true,” said Hill. “I love football and I play with a nonstop motor. I play physical and you know, I’m a team guy. I love playing for the guy next to me. I want to be a part of a culture and I want to continue to have fun out here, just like last year, as long as I can.”
The Anaconda native had a very solid showing at Montana’s Pro Day last week as Hill flashed his quickness during the three-cone drill where his time of 7.01 seconds would have led all linebackers during the NFl combine held in Indianapolis a month prior.
Hill’s shuttle time of 4.29 seconds would have raked third at the combine and his 10-yard split of 1.62 would have been tied for fifth in the position group.
“My support system and all the rest of my teammates, I mean, it’s it’s so great. Montana’s one tight knit community, really. I talked to so many guys. There were NFL guys out here today, Chase Reynolds and Jordan Tripp. And I mean, they all they all say the same thing, man, run your race… give it your all.”
“Everyone’s a little bit different. But, you know, having all that support and seeing the guys who came before me definitely drives me to want to do the same.”
Braxton Hill battled back from a shoulder injury earlier in his college career to put together a very impressive senior season in which he led the Big Sky Conference in tackles and was tabbed the team’s defensive MVP. Hill was also a second team All-American and was named a Buchanan Award finalist.
